Hakone, which is located at the foot of Mount Fuji, is Japan’s premiere getaway for both domestic and international visitors. Besides visiting Fuji, there are tons of things to do in and around Hakone from visiting the numerous onsen hotsprings, to taking a cruise along the ancient Lake Ashinoko caldera, to hiking nearby mountains, to seeing all the historical sights and visiting museums.
The Miso Manju is a native snack made in Hakone by using locally made miso and rice bun filled with a mildly sweet red bean paste.
